Zulu Encounter 24 March 2004 A brief encounter by No. 6 Platoon of the 1/24th South Wales Borderers with a scouting party of men from the uThulwana regiment this morning. At the same time, No. 5 Platoon was caught by a small detachment of Zulus of the uVe regiment. The line was held! Elsewhere, a Gatling position of the Royal Artillery, and a platoon of the 91st Highlanders were overrun by an inGobamakhosi iviyo! The inGobamakhosi showed their ferocity, and skill at close combat. The Royal Artillery and 91st Highlanders fought a desperate last-stand action.
